Lots of tour companies will tell you that they know all the “off the beaten track” locations or hidden gems, but if you’ve been following me on social media then you already know I back that up! Exploring Scotland is what I love doing and sharing it in person with somebody like you makes it even better.
On a Scotland’s Stories Guided Tour, I can’t guarantee good weather, but I can guarantee a trip full of laughter, wonder and memories that will last forever. And probably a lot of bad jokes, although that hasn’t stopped me being awarded the Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award!

Every tour is bespoke and therefore so is the cost. Get in touch with as many details as possible and I will prepare a quote!

Don’t just take my word for it though, here are some comments from previous guests on Scotland’s Stories Tours:
Following a really good edinburgh tour earlier in the year I used Graeme (and Molly) to see some of the north west. We stopped in Glencoe and Plockton on the... read more way up after passing Eilean Donan castle on the way up to Applecross. Had some great food at the Applecross Inn and on the journey home went out to Tain to see (some of the) Pictish Stones and then stopped in Inverness and then again at House of Bruar on the way down. Absolutey fantastic trip. Well thought out and planned and a very in depth history of all of the stops as well as much of the scenery we were driving past as well. Highly recommend. If you are lucky he might share a dram of whisky with you!

The most unforgettable Scotland Adventure with Graeme. The best storyteller, guide and friend we could ask for! - Our 12-day Northwest Scotland tour with Graeme from start to finish was absolutely incredible. Words cannot adequately describe what an amazing time we had! Graeme’s knowledge of Scottish culture, history... read more and stories made every stop special; from Grassmarket in Edinburgh to the more remote areas of the NC500 like Applecross and Assynt as well as the islands destinations like Mull and Arran! From the moment Graeme picked us up at Edinburgh Waverly, he was friendly and professional, eager to show us what Scotland has to offer.
It was our second trip to Scotland but Graeme made everything feel new and exciting! He was more than just a tour guide or chauffeur, but felt more like a friend taking us on an epic road trip! Graeme’s storytelling and his knowledge of Scotland’s history, culture and folklore is truly unparalleled and what a joy it was for us to be able to experience it for ourselves! We could really see his enthusiasm and love for Scotland in every story he tells, and we were in absolute awe of how he can remember them all! Moreover, Graeme also has the ability to combine his story narrative with great humor and warmth, keeping us both engaged and laughing the whole way! Graeme is very passionate about what he does and he genuinely cares that both of us have the best possible experience the entire time.
Being a very type A person that loves to plan all our trips down to the minute, I was pleasantly surprised how hands off I was able to be and get to enjoy being surprised at every stop we made! Every day was perfectly planned by Graeme and we never felt rushed or bored. We had meaningful as well as funny unhinged conversations during our long drives that made this trip so memorable. He struck the ideal balance between sharing stories, visiting distilleries, going on walks and giving us time to just admire a good view of the scenery, enjoying picnics by the castle or simply just eating our meal in his car. Graeme managed to include the perfect blend between both of our wants and interests, working through an extremely long list of demands we had set out for him at the beginning of our inquiry. What was even more amazing was that Graeme was able to expertly handle all of our curve balls (spur of the moment requests) with grace and finesse!
Graeme truly went about and beyond for us in every way possible. We hope to have made a lifelong friend and we will never forget all that Graeme had done for us. Hoping to see him again for our 3rd trip to Scotland in 2027!

Not just a vacation, but a happening that will last a lifetime. - When this authentic Scottish dude picks you up and very carefully loads you onto his well-equipped Scottish steed, you realize you’ve wandered into your very own Scottish Story.

You can’t believe that you’re touring Scotland with Rob Roy or Robert the Bruce, all the while visiting fascinating place after fascinating place while his deep storytelling voice conjures up every little historical detail, and then he digs into his vast depth of Scottish lore to tell you a story or two to bring the place to life.
After you get used to traveling with a giant Scottish dude who everyone stares at, you realize that the real genius of the man is his depth of knowledge combined with stories that burst out of him when you least expect it. He takes you to your favorite places and then throws in a few surprises along the way.
He loves so many things: Molly, Scotland, storytelling, history, tradition, good food, great whisky, adventure, his precious Scottish people, and you, the lucky traveler who may just get to spend a few days crafting your own Scottish story with this extraordinary Scottish man.
It’s not just a vacation, it’s a happening. Book him while you can. He’s going to be booked for a long, long while.

Booked a tour of edinburgh with Graeme as I have a Brazilian colleague over visiting at work and although I know edinburgh quite well, I wanted to do a proper... read more guided tour. I’m so glad I did because I seen so many cool places I had never seen before but also learned a lot of facts and history about the places I had been/seen. Rafael and his wife absolutely loved it. Thank you very much Graeme, that was excellent!

Master Storyteller & Guide!!! - We (a newly married couple on their honeymoon!) had the great fortune of Graeme’s expertise and fantastic company for a total of four days, and it made our experience all... read more the more enriching and magical! The amount of historical knowledge, and number of tales he’s committed to memory, absolutely boggles the mind and places him square in the ancient oral tradition of brilliant Scottish storytellers! Fortunately, he’s also deft with a pen and has a highly-anticipated book in the works!!! If all this weren’t enough, he packed snacks for our excursions and surprised us with a gorgeous quaich and hand-fasting ceremony (as if he’d read our minds, as we were hoping to do one on that very day!!!) You will not do better than this master storyteller and wealth of information (who also—steel yourself ladies—rocks a kilt with the very best of them!!) We’re gonna miss his company and insight on our remaining days in this gorgeous country. Thank you so much, Graeme!!!

A storytelling adventure! - If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Graeme has thought of everything to make his tours a memorable experience. The ability to tell stories at will, answer... read more questions in depth, visit the best places (complete with stories), appropriate music during drives (with explanations) down to the best choices for coffees and meals (dinner experiences were amazing!). He was also very considerate of my mother who has limited mobility and factored that into the plans. A true gentleman. Plus there were surprise Scottish bonuses during the travels but you will have to book yourself in to enjoy them! 😉 thanks Graeme!

The Tour of Our Dreams! Can't Wait to Book Again. - From our very first Zoom call, Graeme started shaping the tour of our dreams. He really listened to what we wanted and designed a 7day journey that was exactly us... read more - balancing castles, museums, abbeys, ancient churches, and stunning landscapes across Scotland’s western isles. Every detail was thoughtful and seamless, from the scenic routes to how easily he handled the narrowest roads I've ever seen. As food lovers, we loved his choices. Each day had great coffee stops, excellent meals, and cozy places to stay that reflected the charm of each area. His timing was always spot on, planning bathroom breaks and evening arrivals perfectly. What made the trip unforgettable were his stories (oh, and his car playlist). Whether he was sharing history, folklore, or a perfectly timed joke, Graeme made Scotland come alive. His playlist of Scottish music, traditional and modern, set the perfect mood for every drive and added to the experience so much. We had followed Scotland’s Stories online for more than a year before the trip, and read stories from his book, but seeing Graeme’s storytelling in person exceeded our expectations. Our week with him was the highlight of our 2weeks here. We’ll absolutely book with him again. Graeme isn’t just a guide- he’s a storyteller who helps you fall in love with Scotland in a way you’ll never forget. Thank you, Graeme. Stephanie and Ken

A priceless experience! - Graeme is an amazing guide, and I had a wonderful one-day car tour.
As well he created a brilliant itinerary for me to travel solo for the two weeks... read more before I met him for our one-day car tour. He really listened well to what my interests were, and crafted a daily itinerary of possible places to visit, housing and restaurant/cafe/pub options, car rental ideas, and routes to get where I wanted to go. He met my needs and expectations 100%. My two week solo journey was flawless.
On our car tour, he drove, all the while discussing the history, stories and implications of events that had taken place in various areas. I strongly feel I gained insights that I never would have gained with any other guide service. He really knows the history and lore of Scotland, as well as current events. He was fully able to discuss a great variety of topics, addressing all my questions.
Further, Graeme is a delight to just be with. He is lovely and warm, with a great sense of humor. He is intelligent, well read, a great story teller. He is kind and thoughtful. I must say, I felt great joy, and laughed with Graeme a lot while on our tour.
Molly of course deserves her own rave reviews. She too is warm and loving, and greets you as a best friend. I am so glad she came along for our adventures. I shall miss them both
I highly recommend Graeme and all that he provides.
