They took me in and around Edinburgh, the... read more outskirts of the city, further out for long nice walks with Molly, to visit abbeys , churches, castles. We went to pubs outside the usual touristy bustle , eateries that served local specialties, places only locals and specialized guides would know . His knowledge of history of his beautiful country is incredible . The manner in which he explains it is fascinating because of the stories that each place carries with it . He knows them all and as a captivating storyteller, makes the most simple spot come alive with rich, bewitching and engaging tales . We traveled by car , his professionalism in every aspect but more importantly, gave me the chance to meet the real Scots, their friendliness, sense of humour, making me feel part of their culture and be able to enjoy their country to the fullest .I’ve been back a couple of times and always make it a point to meet up , do a bit of touring or just simply get together with a few locals I have met through him and Molly. February 2, 2023- We were lucky enough to spend 3 days with Graeme in Sept 2022. He was the perfect, host, his love of Scotland shone through as he shared history, stories, and... read more answered my many questions. The depth of his knowledge of the country is astounding. We wanted to go to Achnacarry on our first day, which made for a very long day for him, but his kindness, wit and charm did not waver in the least. In the 3 days we spent with him he took us places we would have never even known to look for, which made the experience so special. He very quickly learned what each of us liked and adjusted each day to make sure we all had something special to look forward to. I have shared the story of our tour with many friends and even strangers and am always telling people that if they are going to Scotland they must have a tour with him and Molly, it's a truly life changing experience. I have been to Scotland many times, and I didn't think I could love it more than I already do, but spending the 3 days with Graeme has deepened my love for it & shown me a side of it that was heretofore unknown to me.

The amount of historical knowledge, and number of tales he’s committed to memory, absolutely boggles the mind and places him square in the ancient oral tradition of brilliant Scottish storytellers! Fortunately, he’s also deft with a pen and has a highly-anticipated book in the works!!! If all this weren’t enough, he packed snacks for our excursions and surprised us with a gorgeous quaich and hand-fasting ceremony (as if he’d read our minds, as we were hoping to do one on that very day!!!) You will not do better than this master storyteller and wealth of information (who also—steel yourself ladies—rocks a kilt with the very best of them!!) We’re gonna miss his company and insight on our remaining days in this gorgeous country. Thank you so much, Graeme!!!

He took the... read more time to talk with us over Zoom before our visit to get to know us and understand our interests. Throughout our time, we felt like our tour was built just for us. He told us countless stories and taught us so much about Scottish culture. We certainly got to see little gems across Scotland that we wouldn’t have seen without his expertise. Even on the days we ventured out on our own he gave us recommendations as to what we should do and he was able to tell us more about what we had seen.
Definitely a highlight of our Scottish adventure.

Communication with Graeme was easy from the beginning. Our inquiry was quickly answered and once our interests were discussed, Graeme planned an action packed itinerary. During our Zoom call, it really showed at how committed Graeme was at making our journey as enjoyable as could be.
From the time Graeme & Molly picked us up, to the, all too soon, end of our journey, we felt like family, not clients. Graeme's easy-going mannerisms make him so much fun to be around. We were quickly impressed with his knowledge & facts of all things Scottish, giving him the ability to paint a picture & set a scene as if you are taking a trip back in time with him. One of our stops was at the Robert Burns cottage & as we were walking, & in between stories, he recited Tam O'Shanter, ending the story just in time to cross the Brig O'Doon Bridge. No worries, Molly still has her tail.
We left it up to Graeme & Molly to plan our lunch & snack stops, they did not disappoint. We went to out of the way places that we would have never thought to stop. Everyone of them serving up delicious foods & snacks.
The places Graeme took us were all places we would not have known about. Graeme has a unique ability to listen to your likes & interests & include them in as you are going about your day. Make sure to tell the Commodore hello for us.
Graeme's easy going mannerisms & Molly's sweet demeanor make them the perfect team to spend your day with. Can't wait to see you two again.
July 17, 2023 The Tour of Our Dreams! Can't Wait to Book Again. - From our very first Zoom call, Graeme started shaping the tour of our dreams. He really listened to what we wanted and designed a 7day journey that was exactly us... read more - balancing castles, museums, abbeys, ancient churches, and stunning landscapes across Scotland’s western isles. Every detail was thoughtful and seamless, from the scenic routes to how easily he handled the narrowest roads I've ever seen. As food lovers, we loved his choices. Each day had great coffee stops, excellent meals, and cozy places to stay that reflected the charm of each area. His timing was always spot on, planning bathroom breaks and evening arrivals perfectly. What made the trip unforgettable were his stories (oh, and his car playlist). Whether he was sharing history, folklore, or a perfectly timed joke, Graeme made Scotland come alive. His playlist of Scottish music, traditional and modern, set the perfect mood for every drive and added to the experience so much. We had followed Scotland’s Stories online for more than a year before the trip, and read stories from his book, but seeing Graeme’s storytelling in person exceeded our expectations. Our week with him was the highlight of our 2weeks here. We’ll absolutely book with him again.
