We went to pubs outside the usual touristy bustle , eateries that served local specialties, places only locals and specialized guides would know . His knowledge of history of his beautiful country is incredible . The manner in which he explains it is fascinating because of the stories that each place carries with it . He knows them all and as a captivating storyteller, makes the most simple spot come alive with rich, bewitching and engaging tales . We traveled by car , his professionalism in every aspect but more importantly, gave me the chance to meet the real Scots, their friendliness, sense of humour, making me feel part of their culture and be able to enjoy their country to the fullest .I’ve been back a couple of times and always make it a point to meet up , do a bit of touring or just simply get together with a few locals I have met through him and Molly. I highly recommend Scotland Stories if you are looking to be a traveler and not just a tourist.

Graeme took time before our trip to video call and learn about the two of us, our interest, and why we were traveling to Scotland. He used that information to put together an incredible itinerary that felt personal and purposeful! He even went above and beyond and provided suggestions on places to visit when we weren’t with him. Besides taking over the logistics of planning the timing, route, and tickets, Grame is a great storyteller, historian, and welcoming individual. We had as much fun in the car as we did at the various locations!
Plus, Molly is the goodest of all good dogs!

He told us countless stories and taught us so much about Scottish culture. We certainly got to see little gems across Scotland that we wouldn’t have seen without his expertise. Even on the days we ventured out on our own he gave us recommendations as to what we should do and he was able to tell us more about what we had seen.
Definitely a highlight of our Scottish adventure.

  Great fun and informative. - After doing some research and reading the reviews here, I decided, in the end, to book Graeme (being a dog lover, I asked him to include the adorable Molly 🐾)... read more for a day trip, and when he asked me where I wanted to go, I just said, 'surprise me!' I wanted to be taken off the beaten track, seeing as I had already visited many of Scotland's famous landmarks. And I was not disappointed by the 'magical mystery tour' he took me on. The moment you meet Graeme you instantly feel comfortable in his company (there's nothing fake or commercial about him). We hit it off, which is so important when you're spending time with someone, be it a day or week. He’s a down-to-earth, no-nonsense guy who is deeply passionate about Scotland, its history and folklore which comes across in his delivery of his stories. Also, he's one of the genuine guides around, and really knows his stuff! His knowledge simply pours from him. I loved all the extras (the famous Tunnocks tea cakes, Irn Brù and drams for his guests an added bonus) he threw into his stories, sometimes separating fact from fiction and clearing up a few historical inaccuracies. In all, I had a brilliant fun day out, Molly 🐾 making it extra special, as well as climbing Doon Hill which was also a first for Graeme.   One of the Best Tours and Tour Guides We Have Ever Had  - Graeme and Scotland's Stories Tours should be the only tour guide you consider when booking a trip to Scotland. I can not fully express how amazing he is. He... read more provided us with a fully customized trip that was tailored to our interests. To get a sense of what we wanted, he actually had a FaceTime call will us (I've never had a guide do this). During this call, he was able to talk us through the different options, and see what we found interesting. With this, he was then able to create a trip that best suited our needs. Besides taking you to well known locations, he will show you spots off the beaten path that have great history or interesting stories to go with them. Many times, the spots off the beaten path were some of the coolest parts of the tour. Plus, his Scotland knowledge is just immense. He knows about everything! What also really impressed me about Graeme, beyond his knowledge, was just how good he was at tailoring the trip on the fly. You can tell that he was constantly adjusting the trip to what we were showing interest in. He did this throughout our multi-day tour and the experience was just fantastic. The amount of historical knowledge, and number of tales he’s committed to memory, absolutely boggles the mind and places him square in the ancient oral tradition of brilliant Scottish storytellers! Fortunately, he’s also deft with a pen and has a highly-anticipated book in the works!!! If all this weren’t enough, he packed snacks for our excursions and surprised us with a gorgeous quaich and hand-fasting ceremony (as if he’d read our minds, as we were hoping to do one on that very day!!!)
